National Anthem – We all have sung National Anthem for atleast 10 yrs in the school.
Our morning prayer Assemblies
ended with the National Anthem always.
Everytime I hear the National Anthem and stand for it I go back to school where our minds used to carry lot of patriotism and pride singing it.
I RE-LIVE those moments and still the National Anthem induces the same thoughts.
Why such complicated thought process behind spending 52 seconds a week remembering those days or showing respect to our Nation?
By standing aren’t we trying to reiterate to our children that how much ever we grow up we respect our Motherland.
Arent we leading by a good example to our children?
What are we trying to teach our children? Revolt on things even if they arent harmful?
Tomorrow if our child comes back sayingI respect you but why should I show my respect to you? Why I need to carry my respect to you on my sleeve? I will argue at length with you as to why I should show respect to you. Are we fine to accept it?

answer do we have for him?
It is not only about what is my individual opinion. It is more about how the next generation will perceive it and for what reasons.
