“Dont judge a fish by its ability to fly” applies more to the younger generation who gets judgmental about the older generation

“Dont judge a fish by its ability to fly” applies more to the younger generation who gets judgmental about the older generation. Suppose, father is a doctor and the child is aspiring to be an engineer, he shouldnt look down upon his dad for his computer skills. That is not his area of expertise or his skill. The father has been doing good , up to date with his knowledge and earning his fortune from the trade and knowledge he has learnt, he has acquired and he is skilled with.
Suppose father is an engineer, the child cant judge him by his inability to operate social media or an android phone. He need not excel in it to survive and do well in his job.

Suppose the earlier generation is into acquiring knowledge in brain and not on system, there cant be a judgmental opinion by today’s generation about the older brain not having the bandwidth of the computer whose capacities can be expanded.
So, do not be judgmental abould your older generation. They have lived their lives to glory. Know and remember their mistakes, Do not repeat them. But don’t make them feel unworthy. You need not make it nasty for them because you also are in the same zone as them.

You dont have any of the skills they have or had though you might have different skills. Your mom cooked better than you any day inspite of you having whole of the exposure to internet receipes. Your Dad has better life skills than you with certain level of ethics for you to follow.
The previous generation also knew the limitations of their parents. But they never made it nasty. They respected their strengths, their relation, age and experience of their parents.
