MY TEAM MEMBER MUST KNOW IT ALL AND DELIVER IT ALL

The expectation is, “My team member is not a child. He should know the purpose of being here. He should be responsible for his deliverables. He should pick up tasks and work. Wherever he needs, he can approach me.” A Manager isn’t only an SME or replacing a guideline document or an SOP for the job. He knows all these and additionally understands people, limitations of their motivation, approach, hard work, strengths, gaps in efforts, direction, and focus. We don’t give our child a timetable to follow for the day. We offer one task at a time, chase him for every job, guide him, and push him to achieve the outcome without making it a burden on his mind. With a team member, we want to give a timetable and not follow up. He is a team member, and you are a Manager because he can’t guide himself, keep himself motivated, have long-term goals, and push his limits independently. As a child is new to the ways of life, the team member is new to the job, its phases, and the corporate world’s expectations.

So the team members are adults by age but still go through infanthood, toddlerhood, childhood, adolescence and youth in their jobs too.
