From Expression to Expectation

Men are considered good husbands if they are silent.
Women are considered good wives if they are silent.
In that case, who will speak?
Girlfriends are seen as cute when they are talkative, and boyfriends are charming when they are expressive.
Where is the gap between these two phases?
The gap isn’t between boyfriend and husband, or girlfriend and wife.
It’s between being appreciated for expression and being expected to become convenient after commitment.
What feels “cute” in love becomes “too much” in marriage—not because people should be silent, but because patience reduces and ego increases.
The real shift is this:
In love, we listen to understand.
In marriage, we often listen to react.
