Not Every Conflict Needs a Villain

In relationships, we often swing between two extremes—we either expect the other person to always be right and blame ourselves for everything, or believe we are always right and hold the other person responsible for every conflict.

What gets lost is moderation, acceptance and unbiased reflection.

A healthy relationship requires the courage to evaluate both sides logically—to acknowledge our own mistakes without carrying unnecessary guilt, and to recognize the other person’s mistakes without turning them into permanent blame.

Not every disagreement needs a victim and a culprit. Sometimes, both are right in their own context; sometimes, both are wrong. And sometimes, reality simply needs to be accepted for what it is.

Maturity in a relationship is not about deciding who is right. It is about having the clarity to see what is right—even when the answer is uncomfortable for both.
