What Are We Really Winning?
Women often become the moral compass of a family. Not because integrity is theirs alone to carry, but because their courage to question, correct and refuse to justify wrong can shape generations.
When wrong is defended in the name of love, loyalty or family peace, children learn a dangerous lesson: how to be shrewd, but not necessarily how to be right.
When a spouse’s wrongdoings are constantly justified, values slowly become negotiable. Children learn to manipulate situations, win arguments and practise relationship politics—mistaking cleverness for wisdom and small victories for success.
But life is much bigger than winning an argument or proving someone wrong.
Eventually, character is tested where cleverness cannot save us—in relationships, responsibility, adversity and the choices that define who we become.
A family that celebrates small wins at the cost of integrity may someday struggle with the bigger battles of life.
Teach children how to win—but more importantly, teach them what is never worth losing in order to win.
