Life has become so difficult that people now seek formal counselling and training just to cope with living. We read between the lines, trying to interpret the unsaid and even the unthought. In the process, we have made ourselves so fragile that anyone, at any time, can hurt us—often without even trying.
We have strengthened our emotions to such an extent that practicality has gone flying out of the window. In the name of self-respect, we wage silent wars with everyone around us. And in doing so, we have created a thriving business for those who exploit us under the guise of emotional mentoring.
Hollow humans—that is what we risk becoming. I believe situations are meant to make people stronger. Yet, what I see more often is humanity falling victim to its own prejudices, inhibitions, and limitations.
And then, whom do we blame? The world—for creating stress, uncertainty, false apprehensions, and fear. But all of these existed long before the dawn of mankind.
So, are the situations truly worse—or have we led ourselves to the brink of ultimate vulnerability? A question worth pondering.
